You probably know what I meant there, but I do indeed feel like I had lost an long-term acquaintance of mine, and destpite him still being where he is - things just are not the same anymore...
It wasnt always like this, I dont even know when this shit made me the sicko I am now - but to be abandoned and left alone just like that so suddenly still makes me unable to cope with the changed in a sensible manner...
