People who gave a shit about official Pokémon games' quality either left drifted away from the franchise long ago (and bought Palworld) or have been playing romhacks for the past two decades (and might have bought Themthem/CassetteBeasts).
The only customers left will buy pokémon games on the sole reason they are pokémon games. That a slightly less turd-y monster catching game is also available won't change shit to their buying impulse.
And considering S&V numbers, GF has 0 fucking reasons to make any more effort than they usually do.
Next game will be as shit or worse than S&V, it will sell as much or more than S&V.
"Best" case scenario they had secret bases back, with lights only going on if you have a Pikachu in your party, and a crafting bench that let you make like 3 crappy items, for which you get a crafting bonus if you have some random shillmon of that gen in your party. GFfags will deem it as "doing Palworld better than Palworld did", and it will be gone the next next Gen.
