Made it past Erika, but it came after the loss of my starter and a main rotation hopeful in Vulpix. Made the mistake of challenging the Saffron Dojo a bit too early and almost party wiped because of Hideki's Machoke spamming Seismic Toss.
After that I did a lot of gambling to make sure Vaporeon and Hypno have some good options.
