I've been teaching myself Japanese for the past two years, and I'd love to play this game in Japanese. When I first started learning, old Pokemon was GREAT practice! It was one of the few places I could interact with native Japanese without knowing kanji, and the repetitive nature of the battle text helped cement certain grammar constructions into my head. When I tried this with anything in Gen 8, though, the text scrolled way too fast for me to actually be able to read it in battle.
If this game had an option to stop the text from autoscrolling, that'd really help my enjoyment of the game. So... can anyone help me figure out if that option is there?
