Hemo must have been listening the other thread when I asked for a buff to my waifu, as Speed Meira has regained Dancing Rain as a Sound-type coverage move, which was enough to almost double her usage to 1.98% this week and bump her popularity into the top 100 - she's currently sitting at #89. I don't think any of Meira's styles breached 100 pre-expansion, so this is a happy occasion, and she's perfectly usable (if niche) as a sweeper or a Mad Rush Baton Passer.
As far as less happy occasions go, Power Meira isn't faring nearly as well, and is currently sitting at 0.36% usage this week, and falling. The only set people appear to use on her is a standard Strenuous Stance sweeper, which is a huge nerf given that she has 100 base Speed and had access to Imposing Air pre-expansion. She's effectively a new puppet with the expansion and has seen significantly increased usage in previous weeks (Steel/Dark > Fighting/Electric with corresponding movepool changes is huge), but she's already dropped from 0.82% usage on the first week to 0.36%, and may still be dropping.
Extra Meira oddly has 1.57% usage this week, but her only apparent set is a shitty, single-use gimmick set which runs Indomitable with moves like Restitution/Endeavor, Cross Counter/Counter, and Overtake Strike. Her crappy speed and defenses along with the lack of any setup move don't allow her to put her mixed offenses to good use, so it's about all she can do other than possibly be a mediocre Choice Scarfer.
Sadly, I have the suspicion that MeiraP's massive nerf was due to YumekoP regaining her Steel/Dark typing and Hemo feeling that the two would be too similar as Imposing Air users. As it is, only MeiraS is worth using unless you want to troll with MeiraE.
Being Meirafag is suffering.
