How does your story handle the gross overpopulation of humanity? Bear in mind, the more trainers there are, the less untouched nature becomes. Pseudos become truly extinct in the wild from overcatching, routes become ordinary hiking trails due to the excessive use of them drying up the wild populations, and nature's natural beauty is destroyed by careless trainers damaging the environment and attacking pokemon that maintain it.
Does most of humanity forsake going on their journey to prevent this? Not everyone can be a trainer, there is a limited amount of nature to go around.
