>>37755653>Nope. They're gone.they're not, theyre threw on pokemon instead and function in the exact same way
>By this logic OW encounters would be "encounters are still a thing except slightly modified."except they wouldn't my little brainlet friend since random encounters are completely and utterly random. you can't avoid them (without items). overworld encounters you can see where everything is, there's no randomness besides what spawns and you can just walk around shit
>Yes they are.no they aren't
>...So just like random encounters?overworld encounters have been a thing since ET on the atari you fucking zoomer tranny lmao
if that's too old for you then chrono trigger for the snes had them. random encounters are conciously kept in because they're well liked and serve their purpose better than overworld designs ever could
>No it doesn't.yes it does
>No, it doesn't. You're not actually explaining how it adds surprise. If a rare Pokemon is there it will be surprising regardless of whether or not other Pokemon are surrounding it.yes it does, and i did explain exactly that because the rarity is killed in overworld encounters
>No it doesn't. If something is meant to be truly rare they can just reduce the spawn rate.and itll still be easier to find in overworld encounters due to how they work.
if a pokemon has a 1% encounter rate in a random encounter game then it's 1%, period. if a pokemon has a 1% spawn rate in LGP/E then it has lik 10 chances per zone in to hit that 1%.
>Just like you fail to run away from a Pokemon chasing you and receive chip damage from it.you can't fail to run away from them chasing you lmao
>It's not needless if it adds more required space to make the game look less cluttered.it is needless, it's adding a garbage gimmick which is the definition of needless
>But there wouldn't be reduced rarity.but there would
>They do idle around, yes. they don't walk around in circles, no
try again tranny lmao
