>>45582593That's a good question! I've given a little thought to backstory and stuff, but I'm not really sure how this works for Pokemon. Do people prefer the regions already established ingame? I was thinking of using Tohoku, but if that's no good Johto would be fine as well. If Tohoku is okay he probably had a common name that was popular a few decades ago like Takuya or Kenta, and was probably a the son of a farmer who got lost in the woods. If I'm going with Johto, then he was definitely an Edo period noble with a fancy aristocratic childhood name like Chofukumaru.
Or maybe I should tone it down with the IRL history? Pokemon has a lot of ties to the real world if you look closely, but I don't know if anyone finds that interesting lol
