>>52540462>Maybe there were some contractual issues with Niantic that couldn't be resolved or for whatever reason, they wanted to keep their options "open" for Goh, or the PoGo storyline stuff was deemed unworkable with the world tour format.I'm not sure if that's 100% the case, but it's likely a 50/50 thing between Niantic and TPC. TPC has still has foundation control over the story. Not that it's ever stopped the anime before, but some of the character backgrounds in GO are a little more "adult problem" compared to most Pokemon characters and aren't being told from a child protagonist's perspective. The GO Rocket admins and Candela (by relation) in particular. Their cameos might be held back because their stories are still ongoing (albeit drip fed) so it might be too jarring to have something mature in the game happen after seeing their anipoke versions. We all know how particular Pokemon is about timing and portrayal.
They'd probably make for a great movie cameo or for showing up on occasion, but having them constantly present without some backstory tweaking (outside of Willow) would change the demographic they seem to be going for. Though I'd love to see Sierra's joke about Spark's balls in anime format.
