I wanted to make a 3D pokemon game with the same style as windwaker (gamecube version)
The story: Your character wasn't allowed to own pokemon because it's mom claimed to be allergic to them, one day as you're walking around town you find a pokeball and you decide to catch a pokemon despite you not having a pokemon (you know, since traditionally you need to battle a pokemon before catching it). That would then introduce the combat system which would be basically like those old clash of ninja naruto games but you'd still have to level your pokemon, so it wouldn't be an rpg.
I gave up while i was making the texture for a caterpie model i had downloaded from some website.
I realized i'd need an actual team to create a game as big as i wanted it to be. there's no way i could animate, re-texture and program a ton of pokemon. It was unrealistic and silly and it would've likely looked like shit.
