Pokemon using their strength, like Machoke being someone who moves furniture. It may seem mundane, but the Pokemon world itself is still alien to our own.
And lets be honest, do we really NEED mechanical conflict driven by a mustache twirling villain? I believe a more intelligent story can be told without the need for violence.
An example being that one of the humans comes down with a rare disease and the only person that can get the cure for them is their Pokemon. Or maybe Pokemon talents are used to spy on other corporations or something.
