For example in Pokemon Sun's Pokedex about Gengar it says this,
"Should you feel yourself attacked by a sudden chill, it is evidence of an approaching Gengar. There is no escaping it. Give up. "
This is basically saying that Gengar wants to murder you so you can become a Gengar and be its friend. Most disturbing of all is how Pokémon Moon describes proper precautions when encountering a Gengar. That is to say, there are none. If you even get a whiff of this abomination, you're done for. There's no running, no bargaining, no begging that will help you. Not even the scientist that wrote that Pokédex entry has any hope for your survival.
