Gen 6 introduced retarded concepts like Mega Pokemon, Ash Greninja forcing an edgy Pokemon to be cool, along with "muh friendship bond!!!"
Gen 7 introduced Z moves, an even stupider concept to make Pokemon attacks look cool, along with alolan versions of Pokemon. Like I get it you love sucking Gen 1's dick, but alolan versions of already existing Pokemon seems like a desperate attempt at nostalgia to keep the franchise going. Whats next? Gen 8 you'll be able to physically merge with your Pokemon in an "astounding new study we suddenly came across!!!!1111one" give me a break, Poekmon has lost all its meaning.
