Literally can be put as a secondary type on to any single-typed Pokemon and it improve the Pokemon, without even adding in Fairy typed moves to it. Don't believe me? Look at the weaknesses/resistances of a single type, say, Fire or Normal. Now make it Fire/Fairy or Normal/Fairy.
