Whitney was similarly easy. I tapped Brick Break 3 times. Speed EVs even let me outspeed the Miltank.
A similar strategy to the Morty fight seems like it will work on Chuck, since his Primeape loves to use Double Team. Jasmine will be burned down by Charcoal-boosted Flamethrowers from Quilava, and Pryce's team has a fighting weakness. I also caught a Mankey, which could help if the Pryce battle does turn sour.
Hyped up for an actual Water Type now that I can use Surf. Tentacruel, Mantine, Poliwrath, and Lanturn (who gets a special mention because Magnemite is now virtually impossible) are all great choices, not to mention Lapras which I used Repels through Union Cave to allow myself. now that I have Surf, I can go get it.
Massively anxious about the Clair fight. I hope I can nab one of the Electrodes in the Rocket Hideout. Picrel is my Team and Box. Already going better than the White run. At least I beat the 4th Gym.
