So i've played a lot of competitive battling by copying builds from smogon, but i dont really understand the ideas behind choosing the moveset.
So like now im lazy to made a perfect pokemon from training right EV and stuff, i just want to choose good moves suitable for pokemon on my own but i dont know how. I see lot of of good moves they can learn but it is hard to choose.
So any general tips for this, i know like STABs and having the same type for all moves are bad. But l i dont know what type of moves is good for example, fire type pokemon. Or what moves is good for pokemons with high def.
For example i have toucannon right now, and it can learn a fire type move, forgot the name, but is it worth learning? Why not?
