Circe's Grovyle
Before it evolved to the calm, collected and loyal Sceptile that Circe is partnered with, there was Grovyle.
As a Treecko, it had spent precious time with Circe despite it not being as strong as the typical Treecko. Circe struggled to keep Treecko in battles, eventually opting to put it in the reserves of her team until it could evolve.
So when it finally evolved to Grovyle, it became exceedingly drunk on the power it had sought for so long, bursting out of Circe's Pokéball randomly and violently attacking wild Pokémon unprovoked.
Grovyle's violent nature became harder and harder to handle until one day it went on a rampage attempting to fight anyone and any-mon in it's path.
It took Circe risking her life in the middle of a storm to reach Grovyle, with Circe withstanding blades of high velocity leaves cutting her body. Once she finally reached Grovyle, Circe pulled the rampaging grass starter into a tight embrace and tearfully confessed how sorry she was that she couldn't be there for it, vowing to stand by it's side and find true strength together.
This heartfelt promise snapped Grovyle out of it's selfish tantrum, and with both trainer and Pokémon having their hearts meet the same wavelength, Grovyle evolved.
There's probably some mistakes there, but I wrote the best I could.
