4chan, ironically enough, is surprisingly good at crediting the artists, between its transience meaning that you can repeatedly post same artists and get (you)s and then post sources and get more (you)s, and generally more technically conscious userbase who will use saucenao and yandex search, there is little inscentive to leave sources out.
also it doubled up lately because of ai scraping, a lot of artists who used to have a full archive going back years (sometimes over a decade) are now doing the cyclical deletion thing and nuke everything older than a certain period, usually so there's no more than a dozen or so posts active at once. many deleted or privated their accounts. some only do sketches now.
