Ruby's obsession with Sapphire is a flaw as much as it's his one redeeming trait. So in canon when it comes to her, he'll usually end up being destructive somehow (as long as the target isn't Sapphire herself), in this case his victim would be an innocent techbro millionaire. Even if Ruby was perverse enough to find Slopphires hot, I think his general mental illness would override it.
