Real quick, I’ll bring up how I’m using level caps to explain how this Elite Four run went. Normally, I’ve been setting the level cap at the average level of the boss’ team before I go into the gym, evil base, whatever. I’ve found this doesn’t really work for the Elite Four, as if I make it the mean for the Champ’s team, the whole thing is too easy; if I make it the mean for the entire Elite Four plus Champion, then the early Elite Four fights are too easy, and the Champion’s team is extremely difficult. So, my approach is to use Rare Candies in my backpack, and set my team’s level at the mean level of the Elite Four member I’m about to fight before I fight them, and level up for each boss. Some of you may consider this an exploit, but this run I found it made each boss fight a reasonable challenge given my team.

Not too much to report with this fight, this is mostly the Luna and Lliira show, stalling everything down. The scariest moment of this fight was the Heracross, but a crit from Hippolyta’s Stone Edge came in clutch to OHKO it. This will not be the last time Hippolyta is clutch in this gauntlet.

Atlas swept. What do you want me to say, this one is easy for a Torterra.

Thanks to a Swift Swim boosted Surf, Eno cleaned up both his Rapidash and Infernape. Good work little guy. From there, Atlas, Lliira, and Hippolyta cleaned up the rest.

This one almost went tits up. His Alakazam proved to be a real problem for the rest of my team, and everyone was incredibly low by the time Hippolyta was forced to enter the field. He finished the Girafarig, but Lliira was too low to safely switch into the Bronzong. I was probably going to have to sack Hippolyta here. Hippolyta used Megahorn and… it was a critical hit. One hit KO. Holy fuck, Hippolyta, you absolute monster.
