If the only good thing is the extra stardust, then it would have been better to have actual thematic spawns with a stardust modifier. They're giving us shiny excadrill LONG after people have caught hundreds of drillbur and invested in the ones that they actually use. They're adding tsareena into the game, but it will be months before we have the chance to get a shiny one just like drillbur. Tsareena might end up being good because she's a high attack, high defense, low speed pokemon, but it's just as likely she'll be irrelevant because the grass starters get frenzy plant.
