Pokemon Go is just Niantic's first game, Ingress, with another coat of paint and one more gaming mechanic.
You guys think you're being innovative with spoofing, but similar tactics have you been used in Ingress. The only difference is that Ingress has a way smaller community than Pokemon, so the data for cheating was harder to obtain.
But eventually a few months into Ingress, a large wave of people got banned. And guess what? It would happen again again every few months to counter the new hacks that were made.
