>>31515136>Subjecting yourself to Tumblr crowdI know it was probably for "muh Primarina fan art", but Jesus, don't object yourself to such a torture.
Any way, the anime has already pulled off female starters and mons several times before, so it's not like pokemon are male all the time. For instance, I thought it was nice the chubby kid's Togedemaru was a female even though I kinda thought it was male and Ash said gender didn't matter and the kid liked it regardless because it was a friend he caught. Something in that vain. Although the anime has already depicted suggestively feminine looking mons as female, but that doesn't exclude the possibility of there being males from that species and vice versa unless dictated by their actual ratios (Tsareena line is exclusively female, for instance, no possibility of a male one).
I'd find it amusing to see a male Primarina in the anime though, only because it'd be too expected to have a female one. It'd be a unexpected surprise/situation due to the elegant stance it holds, but wouldn't really impact much. That and it makes me wonder if a male Primarina has a thicker voice or not, because of the whole singing thing or if they all have the same tone of voice. Minor shit.
It's great that the design is feminine, but at the same time, that also means some people preferring to have a female to go with its feminine design rather than just pick a starter regardless of gender. But I guess same can be applied to people preferring to have a male just to be a contrarian rather than just pick a starter regardless of gender.
>tl;dr fuck gender, can we just play Pokemon, senpai
