Back in 2019 leak season there were some anon "leakers" saying that some employees tried to physically attack him because he was steadfast on adding an humanoid pelican pointing at its large bulge, and it was a mock to americans, some dismissed it later on and said it was a reference to a yokai watch creature, but the thing wasn't included... until this gen with quaquaval, which shares many of those traits (acts gay, has the american colors, humanoid bird)
I can't find the posts right now in the alice archives (and unlike nyafu and wakarimasen most images aren't available), but I remember the thread describing how some of the employees tried to beat masuda for this and he just smirked at them while they were being restrained.
