So after SwSh released I got into a lot of heated discussions with my friends about the series' changes over time (i.e. decline) with a lot of comparisons drawn to other series we liked such as Legend of Zelda
I made the case that there was a direct correlation between Pokemon's perceived failures and its yearly releases, which started alongside a jump to full 3D and world wide releases from a team that was not equipped to handle it, vs Zelda's perceived success and its releases every five years or so with assistance from experienced 3D teams like monolith soft
So I proposed an entire alternate game release timeline which would see Game Freak expand to two full dev teams which alternate titles over a generation and have years off prior to a new one starting to R&D new engines and workflows, which would effectively produce a pace similar to Zelda's release schedule. I've revised it a bit since BDSP/PLA were announced but not since SV
