this part of the game really exposes if you're rusty. while no one battle has been bad so far, i've really forgotten how to subconsciously play around bad rng and lost mons to silly mistakes. i really didn't expect shit like kirijo dying in one hit to a non-stab dazzling gleam from mira's kadabra but then again it shouldn't have been out, i'm not calcing enemy speed this playthrough though.
however, coming up on aaron now, so let's see if 'no one battle has been bad so far' continues holding true

The problem is you get so few Pokemon before Lenora, yeah, and it's a double battle with tons of evolved mons and double Intimidate at the start. Then if you somehow survive her you fight Burgh, also a double battle, who demands even more strict teambuilding off very few captures
