Her slow development, starting from literally nothing, not even a dream, did wonders for her. When she shines, it's heartfelt, touching and well earned. She had to fight just to even BEGIN her dream, and now she's dazzling stadiums and proving herself alongside her Pokemon like Ash does with battles. Her love for Pokemon is very endearing, like with the lone Rhyhorn in that first round, or when she had the strength to fill Eevee with courage after royally fucking up. A complete 180 from when she dropped in front of everyone and cradled Fokko.
