Deer Pokemon (Sawsbuck) whitetail deer are the largest animal around and pretty common.
Squirrel Pokemon (Greedunt) squirrels are everywhere. Likely my first catch.
Bird Pokemon (Spearow) this could be any number of bird Pokemon, but I went with Spearow since sparrows are so omnipresent (doesn't look much like one though).
Fish Pokemon (Basculin) Pokemon lacks
a lot of freshwater fish. Bass are common however so Basculin is the best fit.
Bug Pokemon (Kricketune) Again lots of options. Went with crickets because I caught a lot of these at the time to feed my gecko.
Pet Pokemon (Treeko) This would be my starter. I had a leopard gecko as my pet at 11 (who lived until I was 25 or so, bless her soul) so I guess Treeko would be the best fit. Leopard geckos are desert animals though and don't live in trees, so you could make an argument for Helioptile so something.
