It's a centralizing threat that weighs heavily on teambuilding, is impossible to counter, forces you to do backflips and make risky plays to check it, or play defensively and lose momentum, and has a negative effect on the metagame. It's too powerful, versatile, and unpredictable, and the meta would be better off with it gone.
