Did Yamauchi do *ANYTHING for the development of Pokemon? Fuck no, and we know he didn't. He simply allocated funds for the game and helped with the game promotion overseas (50millions to be exact)
Likewise, Tajiri now votes the budget and takes care of the paperwork. He doesn't do anything for the game, and the new generations are as removed from his philosophy as Kalos is from Kanto, geographically.
