Good. Modern Pokémon art is very generic and "safe". It lost it's charm to me. The Pokémon themselves are alright but the people are the most generic anime characters I've ever seen.
I've been recently buying the old RGBY volumes of Pokémon Adventure and the art has a lot more personality.
I guess it makes sense, they are focusing a lot more on children now that smartphones are a real competition (making the game easier is an obvious result from this), I just wish Ken Sugimori would go back to his watercolor days (but with his current abilities, since the proportions of his early art were kinda off).
