Then Garchomp comes out and shits all over it battle-wise. Garchomp looks "edgy" and its superiority to Flygon only reinforced love for Flygon and made a lot of Flygon fans hate Garchomp out of bitterness.
I made this writeup a year ago about it. I got a minor detail wrong (Flygon already knew U-Turn in Gen IV) but for the most part I think it's pretty in-depth. It was actually voted the third best post of all time and I won reddit gold for ti. Somebody spent thirty dollars on this. Kind of funny how redditors are butthurt Flygonfags, Garchomp is my favorite Pokemon myself.
