>>23231923Which is probably true if we're talking a -particularly- skilled thief, but 99.9% of thieves don't engage targets they know have a gun, or even think have a gun, because thieves are out to gain belongings/money, not to get shot, thieves have self-preservation, being a professional criminal involves constant risk assessment.
Even strong-arm robbers will shy away from a target they think or know is armed because even if they have a gun, they don't want to get into a shootout (a lot of robbers aren't exactly well armed).

But if someone is actually skilled enough to actually reach for my gun, in my concealed holster, and remove it without me knowing (this isn't an easy thing to do most people), we're talking an incredibly good thief here, someone with good skills and an understanding of sleight of hand. This is a person who'd be able to make legit money on his abilities, he'd be a notable street performer or something the like.
