The flame baton is cool but it's just a grayscale Marowak. They could have made the body look more spectral while the bones remain a solid white, so it looks like a ghost body emerging from animal remains. That's a cool ghost Pokemon concept in its own right without relying on nostalgia. Maybe even make the eyes the same color as the flame.
As is it's probably the laziest Alolan form next to Meowth.
