I run spintoise cus fuck CC and fuck squishy characters. The items I use are spoon, focus band, and sp. specs with green/white emblems and potion as held item. Blastoise is actually a really good stacking Pokémon because skull bush is a good CC and water gun is one of the best early game secures and push so getting away is easy too. Early game is all about trying to steal mobs with water gun and CC setup with skull bash to stun. The bread and butter combo early game is to skull bash ahead of the enemy then water gun them backwards. Water spout is a good poking tool and a good slow to help you get away and usually you’ll want to spout the enemy first before you start spinning. If you can get a few stacks in then You’re basically guaranteed to kill character like cinder and other squishies just by spinning on top of them. The goal is to get level 13 by ray cus you need rapid spin plus for that extra defense. Other than that just don’t be afraid to poke around while spinning, you’re basicallly an unstoppable front line dealing damage.
