They make a ground equivalent to Scald that gets put on all these physical attackers + a few random Fire types including Charizard so the only things that can make use of it are things nobody really uses in competitive (like Ninetales, Claydol, Magmar, or special attacking Nidoking) and then ofc motherfucking Charizard. Then they immediately don't put it on anyone's moveset in the following generation when they also delete Scald from a bunch of movesets, so there isn't even potential for new Pokémon to get access to this move when it would actually make sense! Any of the special attackers you catch in the desert in SV would love to have this move, like Camerupt, Espathra or Scovillain but oh-fuckin-well I guess. Typical GF over correcting once again, for fuck's sake
