>>27499339I live in Japan so maybe things are a bit different for me over here but I find that Pokemon tend to spawn in similar locations. For example there is a big electronics store near my house and I always find at least 4 Pokemon there, no matter when I go. Usually 3 commons and 1 uncommon like a Venomoth or an Arbok or something. Likewise there's a river about 15 minutes on foot from my house and I always find rare or uncommon water type Pokemon there including Kabuto, Kingler, Seaking and Seadra. There's an intersection near there that always has Pokemon that are the strongest for my player level there. In fact the update seems to have really stabilized where Pokemon in fact spawn, it seems much less random-- for example Bulbasaur consistently spawn on top of this apartment building just across the street from me.
And unrelated question but can other players see your Pokemon's nickname if you put it into a gym? Every time I go to a gym the Pokemon there have the standard species name, 100% of the time.
