Emerald’s RNG is broken, which means you can’t soft reset and shinies will always appear at the same time, with the same stats, resulting in hunters finding ‘clones’ like pic related.
To get around this people usually just leave their console on permanently, but what this trick allows is for you to generate a random seed every time, so you don’t run the risk of clones. Soft resets are still broken however.
