>>43528922I want the ultimate comfy game. No evil team or a very weak and disorganized one that just serves as an occasional nuisance, no 10 year olds saving the world, no forced legendary gifting sessions, just you and your personal adventure with your bros, exploring and learning about a richly detailed and well-written region and its Pokémon.
Most autistic thing I'd want to do is put a gym in each town and overhaul the shit out of them into mini battle facilities where you can battle NPCs and train your mons in other ways, only gyms in the largest cities will give out badges and also have a larger variety of minigames/NPCs that could be battled more frequently. Everything scales based on your team's levels. I'd also bring back followers and Amie and further flesh them out into a proper way of interacting with your mons. Follower/Amie dialogue and behaviors will be flavored by personalities derived from characteristics and natures with a little PID RNG thrown in, followers can also replace a lot of bullshit like exp. share and repels to make everything feel a little more immersive.
I always wanted a game set in Scandinavia. There wouldn't really be a main story, mostly a lot of side quests that encourage you to explore each new place you find as you complete the gym challenge which itself has a more traditional atmosphere to it kind of like Alola's trials did. You'd start in Åland, make your way to Sweden and then go to Norway or Denmark depending on your choice and then end at the regional league in Svalbard. All the countries have border checkpoints that check badges (stamps) to allow entry, you need all the stamps from the country you're currently in.
Sorry it's not really the format you wanted, but thanks for reading my TED talk
