your argument is pokemon are looking "less like monsters" and "more like stuffed/stylized animals/figurines" but thats stupid for two big reasons because 1 your definition of monster is shit to begin with, because if we take your implied stance of "a monster is not a stuffed animal/figurine/stylized animal" then we lose over half of the original dex pic related its a tiermaker list if you want to be a pedant about what is and isnt a monster and 2 you're more upset about gen 8's designs then you are about the overall design quality of pokemon over the course of the series because if you were actually upset about the designs then you'd either be complaining about the ultra beasts because they're on the absolute fringes of what delineates pokemon's monsters from other franchises while still being distinct or you'd be complaining about gen 9's abundance of "my mom's animal" but >new gen bad would make you seem old so you went back by one gen to make your point seem less biased when it exposes your ass instead
