Ok then...
>Gym Leader
Psychic Type Gym Leader, based on a would be/failed circus magician. The gym would be a slightly shabby theatre/cabaret kind of place, with apprentice magicians as the trainers. The dialogue would indicate the gym leader is a pretty terrible magician but a good trainer, which is the only reason anyone comes there.
Team consists of Bronzor, Xatu and Hypno as the signature pokemon.
>E4 Member
Steel type, wanna be sentai hero, dresses the part, talks the part, acts the part
>WHATS THAT? YOU WANT TO BE A CHAMPION? BUT IS YOUR HEART PURE AND DEVOTED TO JUSTICE AND LOVE? LET US BATTLE AND SEE!
The battle area would be nothing special, your usual raised platform deal. The team would be Steel types, consisting of Bisharp (the trainers outfit resembling a shiny Bisharp), Escavalier, Scizor, Empoleon and Skarmory.
>Champion
Champion would be a high tech super genius type, who combines pokemon training with technology. He'd show up periodically during your adventure, helping you battle once or twice early on when you're still weak, and every time he shows up he gives you a new gadget for whatever your equivalent of the pokegear is, gushing about it enthusiastically all the while.
When finally battled, he'd be in a room full of monitors of all shapes and sizes where he'd explain he's constantly watching out for strong trainers like you, and his camera-bots have seen some of your finest battles, followed by some of your gym battles showing up on the screens. He'd talk about how he's so excited to fight you himself after seeing your strength grow all this time, and then you'd throw down.
The team would consist of Porygon-Z, Rotom, Metagross, Klingklang, Reuinculus and Magnezone.
