>more effort into animations, a good set of unique animations for every single Pokemon, that take physical factors into play. (Lookin at you, Blastoise.)>expanding on that, make sure that battles look like actual battles, instead of mind fights that happen from a mile away. It was fine when it was 2D, but now that we're dealing with 3D it needs to be better portrayed. Take a lot of inspiration from how dynamic the battles in Colosseum/XD/Battle Revolution were>bring back features that are well liked in the community, the fact that Pokemon games always take 1 step forward, 2 steps back is inexcusable, especially with how they have access to a myriad of forums to gauge fan reaction to features>fuck load of minor QOL changes>make the games more free-form, we basically know at this point that each gym leader has a set of teams they use depending on how strong a trainer is, so go ahead and let a player decide how they want to tackle a region, instead of making it a clear shot to the finish>more shit to explore, the lack of things to find in gen 6/7 was really disappointing, more so in gen 7. But also, I don't want to reward people with just things like antidotes, make each bit of exploration feel rewarding, things like TMs, secret areas with rare Pokemon, stat booster items, tutors who will teach you moves, etc.>characters other than just your basic set of people having an impact on the story, I really like had Gen 5 had Gym Leaders who actually did things outside of their leader positions, I'd like to bring that back and expand on it more.I have more things I'd like to add, but I don't know how to explain them very well. That's a basic outline of how I would prefer a Pokemon game though.
