>>54360069It's about time this meme dies. Sugimori doesn't get nearly enough credit for massively touching up the designs and giving them a consistent appealing style. It's pretty disingenuous for Nishida to get sole credit for Pokémon like Charizard and Vaporeon when her versions of them resemble very little the cool marketable creatures sugimori completely overhauled. Rest assured that had they kept her designs as they were they would be nowhere near as a popular.
