>>34478824I'll talk for PTCGO since it's the one I have experience with, doesn't require friends or people IRL to play and is cheaper.
>Wish I could spend $30 right now. Christmas and therapy take a massive toll on me. If you cannot spend in codes then grinding and trading are the best way to make packs.
>I beg to differ, this is not always true. My Pyroar deck, for instance, is shit no matter what.Of course if a deck is subpar it will always be subpar, but if you have a rogue deck or a tiered deck you'll lose at first but then you learn how to play it with experience.
I lost the first four games I played with Maxie'sYveltal in expanded for my errors, but then I almost never lost with it again.
>This is true but don't I need something to get started with? You usually buy a deck in the store, do the trainer challenge to get 40 or so free packs and then can buy packs in the store to get more free stuff.
With your decks you can win theme tournaments to stock up tradable pack to buy the singles you want in the trade section.
>How good is this in Expanded? What do I need?I play RayEels mostly in legacy where it's a good deck and only used it a few times in expnaded, but it shouldn't be a bad deck.
Battle Compressor and Brigette help a lot in setting up and Rayquaza can use max elisir to easily reach more than 200 damage every turn.
This list is more similar to the legacy one than he one I use, but it works fine as a base for understanding what goes in the deck.
