The fact is, regular ponies are fatter and have a bigger belly rather than being slim like Galarian Ponyta, but they're head are big a lot, maybe something like 1/2 of their body. The normal ponyta's head it's too tiny, and the neck it's too big, making it look like a tiny horse, rather than a pony. But then, we can say, it depends from the races.
