All I hear is "b-but it's shit because anime fanservice" even though there's hardly any anime content in the game. A couple of regular Rocket grunts have been replaced with Jessie and James and your starter Pikachu follows you, that's literally it. Here's everything Yellow did right:
>Walking with your starter Pokemon if you're into that>Allows you to pick Bulbasaur, Charmander. AND Squirtle, but you can just ignore all of them if you want to>Best sprites in the series, obviously a great improvement from Red/Blue>All Gym Leaders (and I think E4 members too) after Erika have higher leveled teams for added challenge>Gym Leader and E4 Pokemon have greatly improved movesets and now have proper STABs as well as some coverage tooOne of the biggest complaints that I hear on /vp/ about Gen I is that almost all Pokemon used by major NPCs have retarded and shitty movesets. Why do you guys hate the game that fixes this issue? Pick related.
tl;dr Yellow is the best Gen I game. People who disagree probably haven't even played it.
