the gist of it essentially boils down to 'they have ridiculously inflated attack stats and often not a lot of defense'
i would suppose something with foul play works fuckily with the stat multipliers in the cases of the babel mons (which have it implemented...differently) and leads to hilariously high damage values for foul play when their attack stats are not 'really' that high
that's really a retarded explanation, but i'm too brain fried to actually look in the scripts to see how it works
