Trainer is from Kalos - names Arthur.
started his journey at 10 - like all trainers and started with Froakie - nicknames Thorp.
Through their adventures - similar to X + Y he caught his team of mons and got to lumiose city where there was a massive fire at the professors lab - no survivors other than a Charmander he found cowering in an alley, turns out he started the fire by mistake.
The Charmander has severe ptsd but after their adventures through Kalos, - and the empathy of its trainer - their bond became stronger than any other monster on his team - much to the jealousy of Thorp... leading to a disobedient Thorp (now greninja) that in a double battle turned on Charizard and defeated him - much to Arthurs dismay. Leading to thorp being boxed.
The bond between arthur and thorp never fully recoved and eventually had no choice but to release thorp as a wild mon. In an emotional response thorp attacks arthur - defended by charizard - a ruthless battle occurs between the 2, during the battle charizard mega evolves into mega charizard x through the bond between arthur and itself - defeating Thorp, Arthur re-catched thorp and takes him to the center to heal him - badley injured from a dragon claw - the recovery takes some time, aurthur stays up for 3 days - tending to thorp - tearful and angry at himself for being so blind to his first friend who they had some tough battles together before coming across Cinder (the name of his charizard).
Currently on his way to the 7th gym of the kalos region - With a strong team of 5 pokemon -

Press - Hawlucha
Mavis - Umbreon
Kingston - Doublade
Newest mon - Karen - Goomy - (in daycare center being trained)
His goals are to conquer the kalos league and ascend the ranks to become a powerful elite 4 member like his long time hero Lance. And to give guidence to trainers with troubled pokemon.
