Personally I'll be real, the anime has really lame, slow, underdelivering writing and fails to do much cool stuff outside of a nice battle. It doesn't even do a great job of showcasing the pokémon themselves. For most of the time I only watched because of the need to see where Ash's journey would end, and his presence has been a comforting nostalgic factor. He's moving away and I'm glad for the closure but I'm having trouble seeing reasons to watch a whole new thing with little credibility it will be good.
