Possibly speaking out of my butt, the irony of Egyptian Gods is that contemporary decks can fill the board enough to reliably provide their tributes, but by that same token you can do so many other things with those rapid monsters that they would need their near-total removal protection to get any notice. And even then Slifer would have to be protected and Ra's total toolkit is deliberately too long to fit on a single card so you never get the complete package.
